Itinerary
DAY 1
- Pick Up from the airport or hotel
- Boarding at Port Bellavista Nanay.
- Trip through the Amazon river of 2 hours and a half approx.
- Arrival at the lodge and accommodation.
- Visit to the Los Yaguas indigenous community.
- Lunch.
- Wildlife Rescue Center.
- Amazon sunset observation.
- Return to the lodge for dinner.
- Night excursion.
DAY 2
- Sunrise sighting.
- Observation of herons, eagles, parrots, and other exotic birds.

- Botanical walk and liana search.

Detailed itinerary
DAY 1
Start with the reception at the Iquitos airport or hotel. And transfer to the Bellavista Nanay Tourist Pier, during the tour you will be given a brief orientation through the city of Iquitos, observing the main tourist places of this thriving and historic city of eastern Peru that in the 19th century became a small town to the most important river port in the Amazon, acquiring a surprising cosmopolitan condition during the so-called "Rubber Fever".
Arrival at the Bellavista Nanay Tourist Pier, where we will make a tour of approximately 15 to 20 minutes and learn a little about the gastronomy of the jungle.
Then we begin the navigation through the largest river and one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, the Amazon River, aboard comfortable and safe typical boats. The trip along the Amazon River will allow you to appreciate a wonderful panorama in which the magnificence of the river makes its way through the exuberance of the jungle, where the picturesque riverside towns with their characteristic color and joy also appear.
Arrival at the hostel. Our staff will welcome you with a pleasant welcome drink made with fruit from the region. A short explanation about the rules that govern the sustainability of the lodge and its surroundings will allow you to better understand the ways to make your stay and participation in eco-tourism activities more rewarding.
Your accommodation will be arranged immediately according to the type of room selected.
Excursion on foot or by canoe - depending on the season - to "New Peru", where the ethnic community of the Yaguas is established, whose ancestors were discovered by Francisco de Orellana in his first exploration of the Amazon in 1541.
This visit will allow you to learn about their ancestral customs, appreciate their original palm fiber clothing and even test their aim with the "pucuna" (blowpipe) that the Yaguas used for centuries for hunting.
Return to the lodge
Lunch.
In the afternoon we go to the Wildlife Rescue Center (Fundo Rony) to observe and interact with some of the varieties of wild animals, such as the sloth bear (slot), monkeys, macaws, toucans, boas. It will be an interesting way to learn to value and respect the typical wildlife of our Amazon.
After the visit to said center we headed to observe the beautiful sunset over the Amazon (depending on weather conditions).
Return to the lodge for dinner.
Night excursion, your guide will tell you at the time that the excursion by canoe or on foot will start, which will take you to discover the mysterious world of nocturnal insects, cicadas, spiders, praying mantises, snakes, etc.
Return to the lodge and overnight.
DAY 2
5:30 am – Excursion to observe the Amazonian sunrise in all its splendor and receive positive Amazonian energies.
Birdwatching, during the early hours of the morning, it is the right time to observe many of the bird species that feed on the banks of the Yanayacu River or the plantations that are in the surroundings of the community,
Breakfast, then we get ready to start the Artisanal Fishing tour, here the guide will guide us the local techniques of fishing for piranhas or other species in the Yanayacu River with the same material that the man of the jungle uses for subsistence purposes.
Followed by a botanical walk to learn about medicinal, ornamental and timber plants and search for lianas.
Return to the lodge and lunch
In the afternoon we will start the tour heading to the opposite side of the Amazon River for a boat excursion in search of the pink and gray dolphins, which are considered the main characters of Amazonian myths and legends. In addition, we will have the opportunity to swim in the waters of the majestic Amazon River, according to locals say that you can rejuvenate up to 10 years and use the Amazon mud as a natural exfoliant.
Return to the lodge for dinner.

DAY 3
5:30 am – Excursion to observe the Amazonian sunrise in all its splendor and receive positive Amazonian energies.
Immediately after breakfast we will take our rowing canoe for an adventure down the Yanayacu River and explore floodplains and learn about other types of Amazonian flora, where we can also observe species of monkeys and birds in their natural habitat, without a doubt a total relax in the middle of the jungle breathing fresh air.
Return to the lodge and lunch
Boat excursion down the river where we will visit the town of (Yanayacu Timicuru) to learn about their culture and customs. During the navigation we will observe some medicinal plants.
Return to the lodge
Dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Breakfast
Boat excursion to visit the rescue center called "The Island of the Monkeys" this place is a refuge where they are rehabilitated and then return to their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for lunch
Room delivery, then we will take our boat to direct our return to the city of Iquitos, transfer to the airport or hotel and end of our services.
It is important to keep in mind that the order of some activities may vary due to the level of the river and weather conditions.
