On our day tour, we will take you to discover this tropical paradise inhabited by friendly and curious monkeys.

Early in the morning, we will meet at the meeting point and embark on an exciting boat ride to Monkey Island, located in the middle of the Amazon River. During the trip, you will enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding Amazon rainforest.

Once on the island, you will be greeted by a multitude of playful and energetic monkeys. Our expert guides will provide you with interesting information about the different species of monkeys you will encounter, such as howler, capuchin and marmoset monkeys.

You will have the opportunity to interact with and feed these charming primates, always following the instructions of our guides to ensure the safety and well-being of the monkeys.

Itinerary

08:30 AM: Pick Up from the hotel/airport

9:00 AM:

• Departure from our jetty
• Navigation on the Itaya River
• Itaya-Amazonas river meeting of waters.
• Navigation on the Amazon River. (2 hours of travel).
• Visit to the alligator, piranha and paiche farm
• Visit to the Yagua tribe of the Amazon.
• Dolphin search.
• Monkey Island
• Return sailing the Amazon River (3 hours of travel).
• Return to the pier of the boulevard of Iquitos.
• Transfer to hotel/airport.
• End of Tour

Details

1. Our tour starts from our pier on the Iquitos boulevard, in the first block of Napo street, in the lower part of the boulevard (next to the anaconda craft market) at 9:00am + 10 minutes of tolerance otherwise it is considered No-Show passenger without claim or refund.
2. Our tours are based on a minimum of 2 people

Terms

1. Children from 0 – 5 years old, tour not recommended
2. Special rate for children is from 6 – 12 years old / over 12 years old is considered as an adult
3. The tour starts at 9:00am and ends at approximately 5:00pm.
4. In Amazon Expeditions – Perú, we are committed to the maintenance of the native peoples and cultures of the Amazon, so each of our programs is carefully planned to avoid, as far as possible, any negative effect on the habitat. Due to the climatic conditions that occur in the region, our tours on the Amazon River and tributaries may vary, as they can modify the flow of the rivers, however, we ensure, as far as possible, to comply with all programmed activities in each of our tours.

Booking

1. Reservations can only be made via web or WhatsApp.
2. Reservations will be confirmed in advance and upon payment (subject to availability and season).
3. We have several means of payment to make reservations (previous coordination with the reservations area):
   • Bank deposit: BBVA Banco Continental
   • Online Payment: Debit and credit card (Payment link Niubiz o Izipay)
   • Other media: Yape, Plin and PayPal
4. Once the deposit payment has been made, the passenger must send proof of the deposit to WhatsApp or to our email contacto@amazonexpeditionsperu.com for verification of the reservation payment and ensure that we have received the email.
5. All remittance costs, including international wire transfer fees, must be covered by the sender.
6. Payments from abroad have a surcharge of 5% for international transfer tax.
7. You must make your reservation 5 days in advance.
8. Request the account number of the BBVA Banco Continental to our WhatsApp contact or to our e-mail address contacto@amazonexpeditionsperu.com if you want to make a bank deposit.

• Arrive in Iquitos one day before the tour or schedule your flight to arrive before 8:00 am on the same day of the tour.
